Hi guys, it’s Dominique, and welcome back to another post! Today’s post is going to be my April TBR! For this month, I am unsure what I am in the mood to read. March was a month of reading uncertainty for me. And although I did create a TBR for the month, majority of the books I just wasn’t in the mood to read so they were scratched! Leaving me scratching my head, wondering what to read.
I do have a few books that are from my March TBR that I would like to give another go. But that being said, I am really excited about this April TBR so let’s just dive right in!
April TBR
Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
First up is Queen of Shadows by Ms. Sarah Janet. I am still chugging along in my read of Throne of Glass and although it is taking me longer than expected I am ready to read Queen of Shadows. Throne of Glass is a popular YA series where we follow Celaena Sardothien the world’s greatest assassin. She is tasked with becoming the King’s Champion and doing his bidding. All of this is just a ploy for Celaena to be able to win her freedom.
In Queen of Shadows, Celaena Sardothien has embraced her identity as Aelin Galathynius, Queen of Terrasen. But before she can reclaim her throne, she must fight.
The Bone Shard Daughter by Andrea Stewart
Next up on the April TBR is The Bone Shard Daughter. In anticipation of the release of the third and final book in the Drowning Empire series, The Bone Shard War releasing on April 18th, it is the perfect time for me to crack open The Bone Shard Daughter.
The Bone Shard Daughter is the debut novel and is a stunning epic tale of magic, mystery, and revolution. A tale in which the former heir to the emperor will fight to reclaim her power and her place on the throne.

The House of Beating Wings by Olivia Wildensein
Third, on the April TBR list is a book that I heard so many good things about that I just have to find out whether or not it goes in the 5-star or DNF pile for myself. That book is House of Beating Wings!
FREE THE CROWS, FALLON, AND THEY WILL MAKE YOU QUEEN.
Until an oracle predicted my regal future, she never imagined rising above the curve of her round ears. After all, she was the magicless halfling loved by beasts but loathed by every pure-blooded faerie at court. Well . . . by all but one.
This is currently free on Kindle Unlimited
On an April TBR, you must have books people are not talking about right?!

Seven Blades in Black by Sam Sykes
I saw this book when perusing Barnes and Noble and instantly went to Pangobooks to see if I could find a copy. I never heard anyone speaking about this one, and I knew just from the cover I had to have it. Seven Blades in Black.
Betrayed by those she trusts most and her magic ripped from her, all Sal the Cacophony has left is her name, her story, and the weapon she used to carve both. But she has a will stronger than magic and knows exactly where to go.
The Scar, a land torn between powerful empires, where rogue mages go to disappear, disgraced soldiers go to die and Sal went with a blade, a gun, and a list of seven names.
Revenge will be its own reward.
Doesn’t it sound AMAZING?
Circe by Madeline Miller
Next, I feel like I am finally ready after two years ( maybe even longer) to read Circe. I read the song of Achilles as I said maybe a good two years ago and while it was good, it didn’t move me in the way others said that it moved them, but I digress. Obviously, Madeline Miller is beloved—rightfully so, she is a wonderful writer. I loved her writing style and just her take on Achilles and Patroclus. So I am really looking forward to seeing her take on Circe.
We know Circe as a witch who has been banished to a deserted island, where she hones her occult craft, tames wild beasts, and crosses paths with many of the most famous figures in all of mythology.
But for a woman who stands alone, there is danger and Circe unwittingly draws the wrath of both men and gods. Ultimately finding herself pitted against one of the most terrifying and vengeful of the Olympians. To protect what she loves most, Circe must summon all her strength and choose, whether she belongs with the gods she is born or the mortals she has come to love.
Killing gods ? in April TBR books
Godkiller by Hannah Kaner
Finally, Godkiller. I have a stunning Illumicrate edition of Godkiller and every time I look at it, it yells read me!
Kissen kills gods for a living, and she enjoys it. That is before she finds a god she cannot kill: Skediceth, god of white lies, who is connected to a little noble girl on the run.
As always these aren’t the only books that will be read in the month of April. As a mood reader my April TBR is ever-changing and growing. These books will definitely be read this month but books will be added to this list!
