The End of Summer is here! In August I read just about anything I could get my hands on — wishing I could read loads more this month but the month is over! So the end of the month means that it is time to do my August book wrap-up.
I have read some great books this month, let’s get into it
I read a total of 11 books. 1 being a novella. My favorites this month— it was hard to narrow down, include The Nine: Origins, Fortuna Sworn, and Heart of the Sun Warrior,—which were 5-star reads, and A Court of Frost and Starlight (the novella I mentioned) which was a 4 star but I thoroughly enjoyed!
I also enjoyed Ten Thousand Doors of January, which pulls an honorable mention in the favorites category. Some of the others that I read that were 4 stars were Dark of Night, Under, and Daughter of the Moon Goddess. After some reflection of the books that I read — I didn’t have anything below a 3 star, I felt like 3 stars went to Cody Seltzer and the Creeping Shadows, The New Couple (you can read my review on The New Couple here), and White Lies. While these books were mildly enjoyable, they just didn’t read to a level above 3 stars for me. If you want a more in-depth look at what I felt about each book, check out my Goodreads
