Mediavine Advertising Privacy Notice v. 1.2

Have you ever looked at your bookshelf and thought Have you ever looked at your bookshelf and thought...
these are the stories I meant to live inside already?

Not the shiny new releases.
Not the algorithms latest obsession.
The ones already waiting. Quietly patient. Slightly judging you.
Definitely calling your name every time you pass your bookshelves.

26 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 2026

Not a challenge (necessarily).
Just a promise to myself to read some of the books on my physical TBR...the ones I keep saying 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯 to.

Here's what I have planned:
- Zodiac Academy
- Priory of the Orange Tree
- City of Gods and Monsters
- A Soul to Keep
- The Will of the Many
- The Other Valley
- The Sun and the Void
- Fortune Academy
- A Feather So Black
- The Trap
- Dark Fae
- The Jasad Heir
- The Secret History
-Eyes of Devious Burgundy
- The Bonesmith
- Carnage
- Trial of the Sun Queen
- Hidden Pictures
- Theft of Swords
- The Reformatory
-Engines of Empire
- Chokehold
- North Queen
-The Poisoner
- The God of the Woods

Some of these will wreck me.
Some will be comfort reads I didn't know I needed.
Some will surprise me in ways I couldn't have planned for.

But all of them deserve a spot on this list.

If your TBR had more intention this year what would it be? More joy? more rage? more softness?

Or what's a book on your 26 for 2026 list? do we have any in common?

Some villages don't welcome you. They 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 you Some villages don't welcome you.
They 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 you.

This is the kind of story that feels like fog curling around your ankles...quiet at first... until you realize something underneath is watching 👀.

Two sisters.
A hidden diary
A village where the past isn't finished yet.

You already know the feeling, right?
That pulls toward a book that promises secrets, morally gray choices, and a slow unraveling that 𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘺. The kind where love and betrayal sit too close together, and every page feels like stepping deeper into something you might not escape.

This is the next read on my TBR... and it's giving:
🖤 haunted village whispers
🖤 dark family secrets that refuse to stay buried
🖤 morally grey love interest energy
🖤 slow burn tension that simmers
🖤 sisters who would burn the world for each other

And honestly?
Those are the stories that always ruin me.

If you live books where the setting feels alive, the mystery creeps in slowly and the emotional stakes hit 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱...this one is "add to your read immediately before it consumes your thoughts" type of read...it's calling your name.

Tell me:
👉 Do you pick up dark small town mysteries immediately, or do you need to be convinced first?

Either way, save and share this post because you're gonna want to read THE BRIDGE OF FIRE.

Thank you to @hiddenhollowbooktours and author @maria_karamanou for letting me be a part of this amazing book

Cover reveal time!
And this one is sharp. 🖤

𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘴 is not here to be gentle with you.

It's prophecy as a curse.
A heroine who would rather run than be owned.
A villainous MMC was sent to capture her...

Syaira sees the future.
The Angel court wants to cage her.
And Vaeron, the Mindbreaker, is the blade they send to bring her in.

Enemies to Lovers, but make it war.
Slow burn that hurts in the best way.
Fated mates where the bond is leverage, not comfort.
A high dark fantasy romance where love might be the thing that destroys them both.

*𝐭𝐚𝐩...𝐭𝐚𝐩...𝐭𝐚𝐩...𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞*
And So the Breaking Begins is one of those stories where the glittering court is just a prettier battlefield. A story where protection feels like betrayal. And where destiny doesn't ask for content.

✨️𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲:
- villain MMCs
- fiery FmCs who refuse to kneel
- prophecy, angels vs demons, and high stakes fantasy romance
- Clarissa Broadbent/ Ravens Kennedy / Sarah A. Parker vibes
- slow burn enemies to lovers that 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘴 the pain.

What's one thing you have to have to add a book to What's one thing you have to have to add a book to your TBR?

Because Daighter of Ash is the kind of book that lands differently depending on where you are right now.

This is a dark dystopia fantasy where women are property, men are born with supernatural power, and fear is the backbine of order. Cassia has spent her life hiding. Until she decides hiding isn't survival anymore, and she infiltrates the Engorcers to burn the system from the inside.

What worked for me:
🖤 a clearly defined magic system that's more about control than wonder
🖤 a bleak, believable world that mirrors where we're headed
🖤 slow burn tension that keeps you turning pages

What held back (for now):
🔥 the rebellion simmers instead of explodes
🔥 huge risks, delayed payoff

Still, this felt intentional. Like ignition, not fire.

Is this one on your list, or have I officially put it there.

Save this post, then come back and tell me what you thought of it. Thank you to author @authordakotamonroe for providing me with an eARC to read and review.

If you think reading isn't political, you are MIST If you think reading isn't political, you are MISTAKEN!

So read.

It always feels sunny... until it doesn't. This It always feels sunny... until it doesn't.

This one pulled me in quietly 🤫 and then refused to let me go.

On the surface, the Fair Weatger Friend is a fast-paced thriller about a beloved TV meteorologist who vanishes and turns up dead. Everyone loved her. Everyone watched her. Everyone thought they knew her.

But this story isn't really about crime.
It's about perception.
About who we think people are when we only see them on a screen. About admiration that tips into obsession.

This is the kind of psychological suspense that feels like a slow storm building in the background. You know it's coming. You just don't know when.

If you like thrillers that dig into image, influence, and the darker side of fame, this one belongs on your list.

Thank you yo @stmartinspress for sending me a copy of The Fair Weather Friend.
